Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, MP, and Spokesperson AICC addressed the media today.
The Nation now knows why the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi didn’t need a prior Cabinet Committee of Security to ratify his unilateral deal to buy 36 Rafale aircrafts in Paris, because a Film Agreement was already being signed behind the sets of the ‘Magnum Opus’ called Rafale Scam!
Film Paparazzi apart, serious media report reflect that the Company / the Group, who is the beneficiary of the Rs 30,000 Cr Offset Contract in the Rafale Deal signed a Film production contract with actress/producer and French President’s Francois Hollande’s partner Ms Julie Gayet, just two days before the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding [MoU] with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for delivering 36 Rafale aircraft.
So who is Julie Gayet? Since 2015, the French media is agog with stories how actor/business women Ms Julie Gayet use her enormous influence as the tenant of the Elysee palace and as a partner of the then French President Francois Hollande.Two days before French President was to travel to India for Republic Day ceremony.
On 24th January, 2016, Reliance Entertainment and Ms Julie Gayet’s firm, Rouge International, got together and announced that they shall jointly produce a French film called ‘Tout La-Haut’ which ironically loosely translates in English to ‘All the Top’! It is now public knowledge that the head of this group accompanied Shri Narendra Modi to Paris, France, when the 36 Rafale aircraft agreements were signed on April 10th, 2015. This ‘All the Top’ agreement was a cherry on the cake on the murkier deals involving the entire sage of the Rafale Scam.
It basically sealed the Rs 30,000 Offset Contract Deal &Rs 1,00,000 Cr ‘Life Cycle Contract’ Deal between the Reliance Defence and Rafale’sDassault Aviation. On 12th February 2018, Defence Minister issued a PIB Press Release wherein she said that ‘no offset contract has been awarded’. This is falsified by Press Release & Investor Presentation of Reliance as also ‘Annual Report, 2016’ of Dassault Aviation.
The biggest lie of the Defence Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, qua no allotment of ‘offset contract, is exposed by the French Defence Minister, Ms Florence Parly herself. On 27th October, 2017, French Defence Minister met Smt. Sitharaman in New Delhi in the morning and laid the foundation of Reliance factory in the afternoon to execute offsets in Nagpur, along with Shri Nitin Gadkari, Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Shri Anil Ambani.

To a question about DGCA report about Congress President Shri Rahul Gandhi’s plane was just 20 seconds away from crashing, Dr. Singhvi said– Let me answer your queries with series of points. Obviously if we are making falsely an allegation, this report must be against us because our lies have been nailed but here is the Congress Party‘s Spokesperson is front of you and asking you – why the Government has not released the report?
This report which is being cited apparently to nail the lie allegedly made by us, I will answer you in just a few bullet points. I hope convincingly. If this is to nail our lie, my first question to you and the Government is why don’t you release the report forthwith. Please release the report. Second question – why are you selectively releasing it and that too in portions to selective channels, other people think they are favourite channels. Why not to release it to everyone? This is a best way to nail my lie. Thirdly, does the report not virtually say that there was a possibility of an imminent accident, good fortune, good luck and God saved it, and as you know, an accident of this situation means certain death – almost death! Now a leading political party even though it is in opposition makes this allegation and request – I think from the nature of BJP or its leader or the PM I do not expect sympathy but at least do not expect counter allegation. Why DGCA giving a report like this and I am prepared to take the consequences to release the report.
To another question on Rafale on if there is any hard evidence to prove that Holland’s friend was given money by Shri Anil Ambani, Dr. Singhvi said we are not arguing in the court to produce evidence. Secondly, I told you coincidence will happen once or twice. I have listed in the off-set part alone six elements which are no coincidences. They are what else? There is circumstantial evidence. Murderers are convicted on circumstantial evidence. Have you not heard of circumstantial evidence? This is more than circumstantial evidence.
To another question as to where is the weapon of crime, Dr. Singhvi said, the Contract. Who got the life-cycle contract of Rs. One lakh crore? That is all enough– who signed the contract on entertainment in Julie Gayet. Is that not enough?
To another question as to what had happened in Maharashtra as the Pune Police had said that they have enough of evidence and said very categorically that there was a plot similar to Rajiv Gandhi assassination, Dr. Singhvi said -The matter is subjudice. I have myself led the charge. But for the last many days there are several questions in the public domain. If the charge is based on a letter, and this we have said in the court, at the minimum that letter should be produced in some FIR, Chare sheet or paper diary filed in the Court. It is admitted that this letter is not produced in this entire case Bheema Koregaon at all. Very strange! The letter of which everybody is talking about is not part of Bheema Koregaon case. Fact No. 2 – What is happening is letter is just Flashed at you and then hidden. It is given to a favourite channel, which carries a 15 minute programme, and then hidden. Why don’t you prosecute on this letter?
Third is more interesting – does your common sense tell you that there is a possible assassination plot against the PM and I would be the first to condemn it. Nobody is in right mind should be supported who is trying to attack the Prime Minister of India. Do you think that an illusion of grandeur that Pune Police is in-charge of investigation and NIA is nowhere to be seen, CBI is nowhere to be seen? The biggest investigative agency of our country are not to be seen in the PM’s part of assassination attempt and the Pune Police is In-charge? I find it absurd. As a matter of fact, I am gravely concerned about the security of the Prime Minister if you are leaving the matter like this to Pune Police.
On the question if the Congress Party wants NIA to probe, Dr. Singhvi said– I would imagine that if charge was credible and serious not me I do not run the Home Ministry Sir. The NIA, the Home Minister, the CBI, the RAW and the IB should be involved. The Head of the Government, according to you, is involved as a possible target and you are talking through the person who is having the PC of Pune Police. So, it is very important in times of stress to keep our balance. The true test of a democracy is that when those with whom you vehemently disagree and I told the court and I am telling you, I vehemently disagree with the views of the many of the people I represented in this very case. I do not agree with the way Shri Varvarao writes although he is a well known poet of the South. I don’t agree with Gautam Navlakha’s views but the true test of democracy is as Voltaire rightly said- “I disagree with you. But will defend to death your right to disagree with me”.
