Two weeks after NCLAT ruled in favour of Cyrus Mistry, Tatas have moved to SC, terming order as ‘abhorrent to corporate law’ & ‘dangerous’. They have recruited a legal team including Abhishek Manu Singhvi to argue in the top court. Dr. Singhvi on case said, “No rationale or reasons in judgment for backing claims of mismanagement.”
He further said that there is no evidence that a Tata company was run into the ground and or of anything nefarious.
The company moved Supreme Court against the NCLAT order which had ruled in favour of Cyrus Mistry and his reinstatement as the Chairman.
